Prompt: A lesson you learned the hard way
When my aunt died, I learned death was harder than I ever anticipated. However, when my Aunt Rachel died, I was so overwhelmed with her illness, which was cancer, and the way she looked, that I could not even tell her I loved her or even hello.
Well, I missed my chance because my aunt died that night.
I know she knew this was harden everyone and that we all loved her, but my inability to deal left me feeling guilty.
The lesson is that you always tell someone you love them, because you never know when they will be gone.
